Designed by the Soviet Design Bureau; Antonov An225 Mriya is a gigantic cargo aircraft having world heaviest fixed wing design. It was the enlargement of An-124 Ruslan and was built to transport Buran orbiter. The name Mriya (Мрiя) means “Dream” (or Inspiration) in Ukrainian. Due to its unique size of the cargo deck this aircraft is still being used for moving over-sized cargo/payloads. Its definitely one of the biggest machines in the world.
